What you own can be handed over in an afternoon. What you have come to believe cannot. How you weigh a decision, what you will not do at any price, what you learned from the thing that went wrong. That has never had an instrument. It passes only through presence, and only to whoever happens to be in the room at the time.

Most of it is not written down anywhere. It exists in one person's head, and it cannot be set down in a single sitting. It has to be built the way everything else was built: deliberately, and over years.

Every few weeks, you talk through something real. A decision you made, a situation you are still turning over, or simply something worth recording. The conversation draws out the reasoning underneath: what you chose, what you gave up to choose it, and what would have changed your mind.

Some entries take five minutes. Some take an hour. The practice is the point, and it is designed to be sustained for a decade or more.

Over time it does something no memoir can. It holds your positions as they were, alongside your positions as they became. And shows the movement between them.

What accumulates is not a document and not a chatbot. It is a structured record of your positions and your reasoning, with every one traceable to the conversation that produced it and the date you said it.

You own it outright. It is held in an open format, exportable in full at any time, and readable by systems that do not exist yet. We build it and we maintain it. We are not its custodian.

When you are no longer here to confirm what you think, the record closes. It can be consulted. It cannot be edited, extended, or made to say things you never said.

Members join by invitation, and the number is deliberately small. Each record is built with the founder personally.
